Abstract

The article presents the results of scientific-practical work on research of torques occurring during hot rolling of tram rails in the reversing group of stands. At present time there is a significant amount of works devoted to research of torques at hot rolling. These works mainly described shapes which have one axis of symmetry, thereby rolled semiproduct is processed in one stand. The present work examines rolling torques in continuous reversing group of stands which consists of universal stands with duo stand between them. This duo stand provides rolling of tram grooved rail — one of the most complicated shapes from the point of view of deformation procedure. Theoretical diagrams of torques have been calculated for each stand in continuous reversing group in accor dance with the developed high-speed rolling modes. Based on these developed modes of hot rolling, the loading diagram with the valid torques values have been obtained during industrial tests. The detailed analysis with distribution of the static and dynamic torques has been made based on these diagrams, as well as their correlation with rolling speed para meters at preset deformation modes is examined. Good reproducibility of theoretical results and industrial experiments is established.
