Реферат | Foamed aluminum is an advanced material having unique combination of mechanical and working properties such as small relative density, low heatconduction coefficient, damping capability of electromagnetic oscillation and acoustic vibrations, and strain capacity on constant load. Therefore foamed aluminum is a new advanced material that can be used for various dampers of mechanical, acoustic and electromagnetic energy. We offered the layered composite constructions from foamed aluminum and titanium which can be formed successfully by aluminum melt pouring into casting form with standing titanium plates and layer of water soluble granules between these plates, for mechanical properties improvement. We also offered the activation of surface with chloride and fluoride fluxes KCl – NaCl – Na3AlF6 – NaF, KF – LiF, K2TiF6, K2ZrF6, KF – AlF3, NaF – KF – AlF3 widely applied for aluminum foundry, welding and brazing for adhesive bond supporting between the composite material layers. The aim of this research work is investigation of activate flux composition and thermal conditions influence on adhesive strength and aluminum melt wetting and spreading on titanium surface in composite making. The spreading area and wetting force depend on process temperature and flux composition. The spreading area grows with temperature rising. The maximal spreading area and wetting force were observed for the fluxes with K2TiF6, and KF – AlF3 based flux eutectic concentration. Ti – Al adhesion strength, defined on overlapped pieces, ranges from 28 to 87 MPa depending on process temperature and fluxes composition. Fluxes with K2TiF6, K2ZrF6 and flux based on KF – AlF3 provide the adhesion strength at the level of 60–87 MPa. Maximum values of Ti – Al adhesion strength were supplied for flux with K2ZrF6 because intermetallic layer formed between aluminum and titanium is alloyed with zirconium. |
