Conventional stowing complexes, featuring a high specific quantity of metal, demand stationary arrangement, and their high energy intensity leads to solid minerals mining costs increase. It is shown, that these disadvantages may be eliminated by means of inertia cone crushers KID® application, providing for reduction in number of crushing stages and a possibility of moving stowing complexes both on surface and underground. A stowing complex structure is described, including coarse and fine crushing modules, binding material crushing and stowing mix components mixing module. The key section of the proposed technology is fine crushing, realized by means of inertia cone crushers KID®, modified with respect to construction design and performance parameters in accord to production task. The results of pilotcommercial scale equipment complex testing for consolidating stowing mixes preparation based on the KID-450 inertia cone crushers in underground conditions at the Uchalinsky Mining Complex are presented. Since feed material moisture content considerably exceeded 6 %, in order to prevent sticking in KID crusher, crushing was performed in wet regime. Feeding –35 mm material to KID-450 crusher, a product of up to 98 % –4 mm size with –0.074 mm size fraction content being over 30 % was produced. It is noted, that the developed technology is advantageous with regard to low reserves deposits, as well as lowgrade deposits, efficient mining of which is hampered by high costs of backfill works.
