Abstract

The experience of GST-72МТ screens assimilation in OAO «Apatit» ANOF-3 Concentrator ore-preparation section is described. The results of the screen full-scale testing in the Concentrator ore-crushing section, where pre-screening is performed before secondary crushing, are presented. Dependence between screening efficiency and product size fraction recovery (–16 mm) with respect to screen throughput capacity by feed is determined. It is shown, that screening efficiency remains at high level (85–88 %) with increase in screen throughput capacity by feed up to 1000 t/hr. Screening efficiency drop is noted only with throughput capacity exceeding 1200 t/hr. GST-72МТ screen is distinguished by significant processing advantages over series-produced GIST-72 screens. So, GIST72 screen with rubber screening media with mesh apertures 80×100 mm (upper deck) and 25×25 mm (lower deck) in the same processing operation provides screening efficiency within 60 % regarding –16 mm size fraction and throughput rate — up to 800 t/hr. As has been demonstrated by long-run full-scale testing, GST-72МТ screens are characterized by a high degree of mechanical reliability. No variations of dynamic operating parameters were registered over entire period of the GST-72МТ screens operation. It is noted, that GST-72МТ screen reliable operation is based on the screen design calculation with respect to strength and rigidity by means of finite-element method, and is also due to application of innovative technologies in screen box design and application of self-contained unit-design vibration exciter.
