‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands – October 15th, 2012 – Quintiq announced today that Mr. Alfred den Besten has been named its new Global Marketing Director. Alfred brings to the job a wealth of experience and expertise in marketing and business development. At Quintiq, he will strive to further increase  brand awareness, with a focus on thought leadership and content-based marketing. Reflecting on  the importance of the role of marketing in supporting  Quintiq’s evolution and expansion, Alfred states that, “Quintiq is continuously entering new markets in the sense of regions and verticals, and so we require a dynamic, flexible approach to marketing strategy, tactics and operations. Also, as Quintiq is growing fast, we need to ensure that we are attractive not only to customers, but also to prospective employees.”

In line with  Quintiq’s global development strategy, the company continues to build professional teams capable of providing and promoting the world’s best Advanced Planning & Scheduling  (APS)  solutions. “By adding Alfred to our team, we bring on board  over 20 years of experience in business strategy, business transformation, strategic marketing, communication, business development, enterprise sales and IT channel management within the international IT industry,” comments Arjen Heeres, Quintiq COO.

Some illustrations of  Alfred’s professional achievements during his distinguished career are the successful rebranding of Lucent to Avaya in Western Europe, setting up the European marketing department of Cambridge Technology Partners and launching Global One Communications in the Netherlands.

Excited by the challenges of his new role, Alfred says: “What  makes this job so  attractive is the overall responsibility for marketing, from strategy to field marketing. This is an amazing chance to be a part of a fast growing company and to really make a difference.”

Alfred  is a passionate  advocate for Quintiq’s APS solutions, and is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to spearhead the company’s marketing agenda:  “We offer the market a fresh and innovative approach  to APS and  supply  chain optimization,  and so the main marketing challenge is ‘getting the message to market’. This company is playing the ‘APS evangelist’ role and also, through the performance of our solutions, proving that the vision really works and pays off.”

Using his out-of-the-box style Alfred’s ultimate goal is  to  substantiate Quintiq  as  the marketing benchmark amongst the company’s competitors, peers and target markets within the next five years.
