Anode Rod Inserter

VHE’s Anode Rod Inserter correctly locates anode rods, inserting the stubs into anode blocks immediately before the cast iron sealing station in the rodding plant.

The VHE anode rod installation system has been in successful operation at Rio Tinto Alcan ISAL in Iceland for over ten years and was installed as part of an upgrade to the casting station.

VHE designed and manufactured a new Anode Rod Inserter. During installation the old rod handling turntable was removed and the power and free overhead conveyor was straightened and shortened.

Site work was completed to the agreed schedule and the Anode Rod Installation Station was put into full operation.
