Assessment of residential areas Mirnyi, Udachnyi and Aikhal was made from the values of the total index of pollution of the soil cover. The dependence between accumulation of mobile forms of elements of the I and II class of hazard determined and geochemical conditions of the soil environment was established. The estimation of areas of contamination with the release of microelement associations of natural and anthropogenic origin was made. Ecological-geochemical assessment state of soil cover of cities and large settlements of Western Yakutia was given. The magnitude and features of anthropogenic impact of diamond industry companies on the natural environment of the North was achieved. Also the importance of carrying out the soil-geochemical investigations in the organization of works directed on environmental monitoring was emphasized.
