Abstract

Today, the development of mining, particularly in opencast mining, can be analyzed with formulating the following regulations:
- increase the maximum pit depth from 600 m to 800-1000 m and development of upland quarries, located at an altitude of 4,500 m above sea level;
- economic feasibility of reduction of overburden extracted by increasing the angle of inclination of pit;
- in connection with the above-mentioned — increasing slope mining roads and exits. The results of investigation of the effect of increasing the depth of pit slopes and elevated roads in the technical and operational characteristics of the dumpers are presented.
Calculations show that it is advisable to limit the allowable slope pit road under the terms of the safe sustainable movement in the quarry (moving the drive wheels without slipping and sliding):
- in relation to average climatic conditions (friction coefficient φ ≥ 0,4): for mining trucks with wheel formula 4 × 2 to a value — not more than 20 % (11° 18');
- for all-wheel all-terrain trucks — up to a value not exceeding 30 % (16° 42');
- in relation to the actual operating conditions (regions with precipitation in the form of rain and snow — φ = (0,25 ÷ 0,45);
- for mining trucks with wheel formula 4 × 2 — to a value not exceeding 12 % (6° 50') according to SNiP 2.05.07-91 — no more than 11 % (6° 18');
- for all-wheel all-terrain trucks to a value not exceeding 20 % (11° 18').
