Abstract

The technology of gravity separation using centrifugal he concentrators is one of the promising direction in the processing of gold ores. Recently, Knelson Concentrators and Falcon (Canada), as well as “Itomak” (Russia) have operated successfully in many enrichment factories. In addition to asbestos concentrates, produced coarse grit from asbestos-Ghali, chippings, sand-gravel mixture are used for enrichment. Experience of industrial implementation of centrifugal concentrators during beneficiation of gold-bearing ore from deposits of the Republic of Uzbekistan is presented. Preliminary laboratory and semi-industrial tests show possibility to separate the gravity concentrates contained 11,4–183 g/t of gold with 61–88 % of extraction from ore contained 0,7–7,8 g/t of gold, using “Knelson” and “Falcon” centrifugal concentrators. The combined technology, included centrifugal beneficiation with further intense cyanidation of products of gravity cycle is proposed for industrial realization in conditions of operating hydrometallurgical plant No. 4, involved in Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant. Throughout gold recovery using presented technology attains to 92 %. Technological scheme has been fitted with modern equipment, such as SB-5200 (“Falcon”) concentrators, hydroclone device, produced by “Krebs” Company, device for intense cyanidation, produced by “Gekko” Company. Developed technology allows to process successfully tailing of heap leaching.
