Abstract

The technological processes of diamonds recovery using on Russian plants are realizedwith method of X-ray-luminescence fully or share together with other methods. This method is based on the diamonds luminescence property under X-ray radiation. The technological machines, which use this method, are named as X-Ray-Luminescent Sorters. The design of X-ray-luminescent sorters which produced by “Bourevestnik”, Inc and its main subsystems are described. The benefits of sortersare shown: pulsed excitation the dignity of which is an ability to concentrate more power in a pulse at relatively low average power, consumed by the X-ray source; use for applications as the dividing attributes as pulse as kinetic (distributed in the pulse repetition period time) characteristics of luminescence signals; stabilize the sensitivity of the sorter, based on a pulsed reference signal of the air luminescence within the working volume of the sorter; digital signal processing to ensure high selectivity using an updated set of the sorting parameters; unification of the technical basis of different sorter models.
