Due to the depletion of the resource base Kovdor vermiculite mine and involvement in the processing of lowgrade ores of complex material composition becomes more urgent solution to disposal of tailings accumulated over a long period of operation of the deposit of JSC "Kovdorslyuda." A potential source of vermiculite can be piles of tailings of vermiculite ores of various types. The article tells the technology of the product from the vermiculite tailings of vermiculite ores Kovdor deposit. Based on studies established theoretical possibility of discharge from the tailings processing plant JSC "Kovdorslyuda" conditioned vermiculite concentrate. The use of calcined vermikulit-containing product yields structurally insulating heat-resistant concrete grade M25, corresponding to the requirements of GOST 20910-90 "Concretes heat resistant" to the maximum allowable working temperature corresponding to the class E10. The main properties of the samples heat-resistant concrete are as follows:
• Average density — 830 kg/m3;
• compressive strength of — 2.8 Mpa;
• residual strength after firing at 800 °C — 33%;
• heat resistance — more than 25 cycles.
