Abstract

Mikhail Fedorovich Soymonov was born 15 May 1730. The main lifework of Mikhail Fedorovich was establishment and development of first higher education engineering school of Russia – Mining School, opening of which was 28 June 1774. Living more than 70 years, Mikhail Fedorovich Soymonov leaved bright memory about own life. Mikhail Fedorovich Soymonov is initiator of high engineering education if Russia. He done a lot for development mining practice in Russia.
