The results of investigations helped to reveal discordance of existing technique for calculation (prediction) of methane emission in working faces to modern conditions of substantial rise of productivity and speed of face advance. Necessity of correction of this technique on the base of natural measurements in faces with high (up to 4-5 thou. t per day) load in coal mining is substantiated.
