The history of foundation and development of "Tsentrogiproruda" — the institute for designing of mining enterprises in KMA region — is observed. The main projects developed by the specialists of this institute and covering different directions of activity of very complicated industrial complex of the mining industry in the Central Russian region are noted. Current state of the institute is described.
