The results of experimental determination of the principal mechanical properties and tensile stress-strain curves of thin cold-rolled strips made of AMts aluminum alloy are presented. It has been established that with an increase in the relative reduction from 11% to 58%, the yield strength increases from 58 to 165 MPa, the ultimate tensile strength from 109 to 186 MPa, and the Vickers hardness from 31 to 50 HV, while the elongation decreases from 30% to 7%. Adequate regression equations (R2 > 0.92) describing the variation in strength and ductility characteristics (σ0.2, σu, δ, and HV) as a function of the degree of reduction have been obtained, as well as relationships between the principal properties and hardness HV (linear, quadratic, and cubic regression). It has been demonstrated that the error in calculating rolling forces using the proposed equation for determining the yield strength does not exceed 6%. The validity of the equations has been experimentally confirmed. They are recommended
for predicting rolling-force parameters on industrial rolling mills (e.g., the 2300 reversing mill at the Samara Metallurgical Plant), designing rational deformation schedules in CAD systems, and performing operational non-destructive assessment of the principal strength and ductility characteristics of AMts alloy strips based on measured hardness without tensile testing of specimens.
