For more than 45 years, “ZITRON” has been manufacturing and delivering main ventilators for mines, situated on almost all continents. Among all 200 types of mine ventilators, the most important are large ventilator units with working wheels (more than 3000 mm diameter), completed by modern systems of hydraulic turn of ventilator blades without stoppage of ventilators' operation. Such ventilator units are one of the most important stages in technological complex of enterprise. This article considers some of their peculiarities, on the basis of experience, cumulated by specialists of ZITRON company in the area of designing, manufacturing, testings, assembling and commissioning of these units. ZITRON company created the unique aerodynamic laboratory, aimed for testings of large main ventilators with working wheels (up to 5500 mm diameter and up to 10 MW power). Laboratory includes modern technological facilities, equipped by modern measurement systems and tools. On the basis of laboratory, there is functioning the aerodynamic stand, which operational principle is based on application of auxiliary ventilator as an element, changing resistance of inlet chambers and making possible to obtain various points on curve of characteristic of ventilator in the process of its changes (supercharge chamber). During testings, there is carried out the complex monitoring of systems of protection of various elements of ventilator and electric motor. Receiving of results of testings is carried out directly from the testings' control center. At the same time, the specialists from ZITRON company have an experience of creation of models of technical facilities in the required scale (for example, hydrotechnical tunnel in the scale of 1:100) for the purpose of optimization of offered ventilation system.
