Abstract

New technical solution offered for mining companies is the third generation control system for skip hoist loading equipment. The control system is intended for automation of technological process of skip loading and control of filling of loading devices (dispensers) and underground-storage hopper. The control system makes weight dosing of skip loading. It provides automatic and semi-automatic drive control modes for sector gate, valve, feeder and conveyor. When cycle of skip loading and unloading is completed, the control system generates signals to hoisting machine. It logs the loaded skip and gives information to the control room. In case when skip is not under loading, the control system locks sector gates. It also provides signals on loading device condition to an operator. The applied technical solutions to meet today’s trends towards full automation of skip hoisting are:
— control of the hoist unit;
— radar controls of the level of rock mass fill in accumulating bins;
— highly reliable and high-speed pneumatic cylinder to control sector gate of loading unit;
— output communication ports for connection to the corporate network.
Experience of implementation and operation of the equipment in mines showed that it allows to:
— improve safety and reliability of skip hoisting by stabilization of load on hoisting machine. It allows to set optimum load on the chart with the kinematic links of hoisting equipment, reduce fatigue wear rate, extend life of the equipment and to limit the launcher drive power;
— increase the skip hoisting performance by 7–9 % owing to intensification of loading, precise execution of movement charts and improved efficiency of the hoisting machine control.
