Abstract

The article describes the process layout, basic equipment and technological parameters of the abuilding processing plant intended for treatment of diamond-bearing ore of Grib deposit. The project and working documentation for construction of processing plant and tailing storages are developed by Mekhanobr Engineering Co. The annual design capacity of the plant is 4.5 mln t at ore humidity of 5 %, or 4.275 mln t of dry ore. The diamond yield of conventional screen size +3 DTS (+1,2) makes up 95–98 %. The ore processing layout involves ore haulage from the open pit mine by dump trucks 130 t in capacity; crushing in auger toothed-roll crushers DRS 8002000 and grinding in autogenous mills SM-M-7.33.7. The ground ore is screened into several size grades meant for further beneficiation in float-and-sink cyclones and X-ray fluorescent separators. Primary concentrates are sent to additional processing. The process flow diagram includes automated assaying facilities. For tailing storage, a flat tailing dump with capacity of 82 mln m3 and life cycle of 20 years will be created. The project provides for the following conservation measures: closed water rotation, dust prevention on water side of the tailing dump and protection embankments, drain water catchment. The plant will be put into operation in quarter I of 2014.
