Obogashchenie Rud



The traditional sections “Processing Technology”, “Beneficiation processes”, “Technological Mineralogy”, “All-round utilization of raw materials” of the current issue of the journal “Obogashchenie Rud” include the papers dedicated to the following topics:


- the issues pertaining to the Gitche-Tyrnyauz deposit high-talcose molybdeniteores with associatedgold mineralization processing technology,designed to further the efforts for recovery of the Tyrnyauztungsten-molybdenum Mining and Processing Complex operations, are considered (the paper by O. V. Kononov, et al.);

- on the basis of the generalizedexperimental data on certain ore samples from the several deposits located in the Kola Peninsula andRepublic of Karelia, the fundamentaldependency graphs of platinum andpalladium content in low-sulfidation platinum-group metals deposits and these metals’ grades in flotation concentrate, as well as their recoveries into concentrate are plotted (the paper by S. V. Petrov);

- the Pizhemskoye deposit (Middle Timan) titanium ores concentratesmineral compositionwas thoroughly studied with application of theup-to-date spectroscopic analysis methods, quantitative ratios of iron-titanium phases were determined, as well as recommendations were issued for metallurgists with a view to develop final concentration operations in order to clean concentrates from quartz intergrowths and siderite (the paper by A. B. Makeev, V. P. Lyutoev);

- a combination technology forhigh-silica raw material treatment by means offluoride method has been developed, the considerable reserves of the raw material being located inKazakhstan, and the process conditions have been determined for production of ammoniumhexafluorosilicate, amorphous silica, aluminium fluorine compounds and ferrous concentrate(the paper by V. А. Kovzalenko, et al.).


The paper in thesection “New Concepts” presents a laboratory model of aseparation device, itsspecial feature consisting in the separation process implementation in relatively narrow chutes, on which material is vibrotransported, with screening media (sieves) installed on side walls of chutes. It is shown, that, under these conditions, sieving process is as intensive, as through sieves installed in bottom part, like in conventional screens. With that, sieves holes are practically never clogged (the paper by I. I. Blekhman, et al.).
