Pressure to Build on Copper Prices
20.01.2012
Intierra Resource Intelligence is pleased to showcase the breadth and depth of its copper exploration and consumption knowledge in Vancouver next week.
Intierra’s Executive Director, Glen Jones, will present “Copper Consumption Dynamics and the Exploration Project Pipeline” at the Mineral Exploration Roundup Conference in Vancouver on January 26. This presentation will be done in conjunction with Bloomsbury Minerals Economics.
Mr. Jones’ presentation will cover copper consumption, supply and demand and the effect it has on the price of copper in short term and longer term. A significant amount of new copper mines begin production starting in 2012 and continue through 2016. This increased mine output will create a surplus supply to demand which will result in lower copper prices.
Roundup, now in its 29th year, once again brings together individuals and organisations representing all components of the global mineral exploration and mine development industries. The conference combines technical sessions, short courses, poster sessions, Core Shack, Prospectors’ Tent, and Map Tent – all elements that contribute to Roundup’s distinction as the world’s premier technical mineral exploration conference.
The theme of Roundup 2012, “Celebrating our First Century of Global Discovery” coincides with AME-BC’s 100 year anniversary and builds on the excitement generated by a strong commodity market and last year’s record attendance at the event.
