Abstract To make the sinter process as environmentally friendly as possible and to fulfill authority requirements, lavish technical solutions have been developed in joint cooperation between sinter plants operators and plant manufacturers. With the use of those waste gas cleaning and waste gas recycling technologies, sinter plant waste gas emission values have been achieved which were rated impossible some years ago.
