ArticleName Improvement of the process of modifying high strength iron

Abstract Sandwich process, when magnesium light alloying composition is charging on the ladle bottom and covered with the steel layer, and then the ladle is filled by metal, is considered now as the most usable process for manufacturing high strength iron for castings. The paper examines this method for the la-dle with a lid having hole for metal pouring. Presented analysis of this process allows to explain and improve practical results during its commercial realization.
