The principles of creating a self-organizing jet-emulsion reactor (SER) are considered, the basis of which is the organization of forced motion of a two-phase working (reaction) mixture in a closed system under pressure, which allowed creating a significant deviation from thermodynamic equilibrium and obtaining non equilibrium dissipative structures. The role of dissipative structures in solving problems of controlling the chemical composition of the metal, as well as in creating a process and an aggregate having a small specific volume and energy capacity is shown. A flow chart of the unit is presented, the basis of which is an oscillator-reactor, which creates a high pressure potential, as well as complete isolation of the process from the atmosphere, which makes it possible to create internal transport of reaction products through all serially connected devices. The process has a certain degree of universality. It is possible, by changing the purge mode and the degree of afterburning of the reducing fuel, to process pulverized materials with a wide range of changes in the chemical composition, including sludge, scale, lean ore and enrichment tailings. Protection of all elements of the unit is carried out on the basis of an automated system of circulation skull cooling. A project has been developed for the placement and layout of equipment for the implementation of a complex of two installations of the SER process on vacant areas of a mold workshop at the West Siberian Metallurgical Combine. The production program is focused on getting the original charge stock for electric steelsmelting furnaces from sludge, scale and powdered ores.
