Реферат | Before producing a new rolled profile the roll stand must be optimally set up. By repeated separation, cooling and measuring of the profile shape between the passes, the ideal rolling parameters (width / height, degree of filling of the rolls / roll gap, radii, etc.) are identified. This process is very time and resource consuming. A device for measurement of hot rolled profiles between single passes was developed. For the first time ever, the measurement between passes is possible through the portable profile measurement device Calipri Hot, which thereby significantly shortens the set-up time per rolling. These time savings directly translate into a higher utilization of the rolling mill. Calipri is based on the technology of laser light section. This enables the measurement of a complete profile (360°) of variously shaped objects within a few seconds, regardless of the harsh environmental conditions in rolling mills. At present time, Calipri Hot device is still enhancing, but the first samples have been akready tested in different conditions of rolling. These tests have been conducted on rectangular specimens with 140x100 mm cross section. The first commercial system is planned to be installed at rolling mill of Mannstädt GmbH works in Trosdorf in the beginning of 2016. |
