Abstract

The findings of research on improving the comprehensive utilization of ores from the Lermontovskoye deposit are presented. So far, only scheelite concentrate was produced from the ores at the processing plant. However, not only tungsten, but also copper, gold, silver, bismuth, and sulfur can be recovered from scheelite skarn-sulfide ores. Sulphidization processes accompanied by replacement of amphibole by pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite are most widely manifested in amphibole skarns. Studies were conducted on ore samples from the Northwestern open pit characterized by high sulfide content and from the Central open pit which is currently mined. The flow sheet and reagent regimes of the sulphide circuit using butyl xanthate and Aeroflot IMA-I 413 as a collector are developed and three promising regimes of the main sulfide circuit are recognized. Selectivity of aeroflot as opposed to xanthate in recovering arsenopyrite is established as a result of comparative studies on the flotability of sulphide minerals. The developed flow sheet and reagent regimes of selecting sulfide concentrate enable saleable copper concentrate, characterized by concentrations of gold and silver, to be produced. To reduce the arsenic content in the copper concentrate it is recommended to carry out selection of copper in the presence of ferrous sulphate.

Research was carried out в within the framework of the program «42P «Far East»: project 12-III-А-08-181.
